Our Mission

Memory. Comfort. Cultura

Four pieces of frozen yellow mango slices in a wooden bowl lined with green banana leaf.

Led by Chef Dani Solis, Chiricana Cocina Panameña brings home-cooked, comfort Panamanian cuisine and culture to the San Francisco Bay Area. The name honors Chef Dani’s 92-year old grandmother, Benedicta, who was born in the Chiriquí region of Panamá.

Chiricana was officially formalized in 2025 and was accepted into the La Cocina SF business incubator program after being part of Oakland Bloom’s Incubator program for two years. Chiricana will be the first brick and mortar Panamanian restaurant in the Bay Area. Chiricana’s vision is to inspire love with nourishing and delicious food rooted in Panamanian culture.
